Delivery reports show the status of an SMS message and allow you to quickly assess how many confirmed deliveries there were.
SMS message delivery reports may take some time to arrive after the message has sent, depending on the destination mobile carrier and their current traffic. As a result, the statistics you see may regularly change for up to 24 hours after the message is sent.
We may not receive a delivery receipt for all messages sent as mobile networks give these lower priority than the actual SMS messages. In times of high load, receipts may not be issued for all messages.
To see your SMS delivery report first click through to the 'Campaign analyse' section of your account under the Analyse tab. Select 'SMS' in the drop down field to the right of the page.
Now you'll see all of the SMS campaigns you've sent, so click the one you'd like to view a detailed report of.
On the next page you'll be able to see a campaign overview including what time it was sent and how long the SMS message was.
Under key statistics you can see the following information:
- Sent tells you many messages were sent. If you click the figure, you can also see which SMS lists (within your account) it was sent to.
- Unsubscribes details how many recipients unsubscribed as a result of your SMS campaign. If you find that the number is higher than expected (or previously) you may want to try sending your message at a different time, to ensure you reach subscribers at the most convenient time for them.
- Confirmed deliveries is a percentage of how many people received your message.
- Undelivered messages may be because the number you used was invalid, there was a network error or the handset was switched off. If you click the percentage figure you can view details of who failed to receive your message.
